Full Tilt Are Now Run By PokerStars,
Here Is My Fresh New Review

Notice: Full Tilt Poker has merged with PokerStars, with accounts on the 2 sites now combined. Many aspects of the original site, including the famous avatars are now available at PokerStars. You can enjoy the bigger combined site at www.pokerstars.com – use marketing code PSP3108 when you register and STARS600 when you make your first deposit and you’ll get up to 3 welcome bonuses!

Planet Mark’s Summary: Since Full Tilt came back, their new owners (PokerStars) have been very busy improving their software and offers. There is already a long list of improvements to see, ranging from better organization of the tournaments, through a new player reward system and even some new games (5-Stud). This was already an awesome site, and each improvement only makes it better and better. This review will cover the highlights at Full Tilt, who are steadily growing as we start 2018. I should note here that this site are available only outside the US.

Full Tilt have bonuses to attract new players, starting with a 100% matched bonus up to $600 and plenty of tournament tokens. The FTOPS tournament event is excellent, and a brand new rewards system which pays weekly cash-back has replaced the patchwork of rakeback / player rewards. You can even transfer funds from PokerStars to FullTilt, great news for PokerStars players who would like to find out what all the fuss is about.

PokerPLAY POKER NOW!

Here is my detailed updated Full Tilt review. Here I will cover the games, software, bonuses and rewards and finish up with my ‘Planet Mark’s Verdict’ which sums it all up at the end.

It is difficult to estimate traffic at the moment, there were peaks of almost 50,000 simultaneous players when the site first re-opened. However, this then dipped a little, and has settled in the 30k range - though this number is growing all the time.

Full Tilt Poker Review – Spotlight on Cash Games

Back in the day, Full Tilt lead the field with innovations for cash game fans. They were the first to come up with the fast poker format with Rush Poker, brought in Cap-Limit tables and had the superstars of the game swapping 6 and 7 figure pots at the high stakes tables.

There is already plenty of action to be found focusing on the NL Holdem and PLO games, and 6-max format. The software is smooth and fast, which makes it ideal for multi-tabling and there is a wide choice of stakes, with 1c / 2c blinds at one end and $2k / $4k blinds at the other… You’ll see a great choice up to $2.5 / $5 ($500 buy-in) and several tables at $5 / $10 and above too.

In addition to the Holdem and Omaha variations, Full Tilt have Stud and Draw games available. For those who like some variation, you can find 10-game mix too.

New additions to the cash games offer are special beginners tables (very soft), and 5-Card Stud which is one of the oldest forms of poker. I recommend you look out for the 'Ring Game Happy Hours' which happen several times a day. You earn double points at this time, which can make a big difference to your weekly edge reward cash bonus.

Full Tilt Poker – Spotlight On Tournaments

Full Tilt Poker Scheme

Tournaments are a huge draw at FTP, I recommend you check out the huge list which contains more variations than you thought possible!

These include Rush Poker tournaments, multiple entry games (now called 1-UP Tournaments), on-demand tournaments (which start when there are 36 players, and regularly attract 200+), escalator tourneys, daily doubles, knockout bounty games and a great tournament satellitey system which lets you win entries into bigger tournaments.

Their Sunday Major already has a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000, and with satellites all week you can win a seat cheaply too. There are more high stakes games including the Sunday Brawl, a $235+fee knockout bounty game, a $500 Super Sized Sunday event and a $500 Fat Tuesday tournament for the high rollers! Topping the tree is the regular tournament event, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS for short) which sees pro sponsored big buy-in tournaments and guarantees going into the millions. There is also a mini-FTOPS with buy-ins at 10% of the full version which runs separately.

Update: The latest tournament offering are called 'Flipout Tournaments'. These games put everyone all-in each hand until you make the money, when play resumes in a normal tournament format.

For me Full Tilt is worth checking out for the tournaments alone.

Full Tilt Review – Spotlight on SNGs

As with all my reviews the Sit N Goes get their own page! You can find it here. With a great selection of 1-table games + multi-table SNGs up to 180 players. If you are the first 2 people in new SNG in the lobby, you will earn double reward points - which can make a big difference to your weekly cashback, especially if you multi-table these games.

Full Tilt Poker – Bonuses and Rewards

Your initial bonus is a 100% match up to $600. That will get you started, though the promotions and reward program is what makes the difference longer-term.

Rewards are a unique weekly cash-back system called ‘Edge’. You earn points, climb the levels and then – each Friday – you get a cash reward based on your play, this even comes with an e-mail to tell you how much you got! With the 15% level relatively easy to reach, even for lower stakes players, the top rate is 25%. You can bring this percentage up significantly by taking advantage of the 'Happy Hours' (cash games) and being first to sit in a SNG tournament or playing the designated game of the week. I like this as a replacement for the complex mix of rakeback and reward programs from before – you should remember that this works alongside your initial bonus, the already generous leaderboard promos and any 1-off promotions you are working towards too.

High volume players can now reach even bigger rewards via the 'Black Card' system. This requires a rolling average of 500 points each day, and unlocks some serious benefits - see the Full Tilt Poker website for more!

Promotions are already strong, with tournament events, SNG Madness and various 1-off specials - as usual I will not list them here in my review, since there will be new ones up within a week. I recommend you keep an eye on the Full Tilt website, so as not to miss out on some of the best deals in poker!

FullTilt Review – Software And Service

Software is one of the key reasons to check out this site. It is unique, fast and has a colorful cartoon-like look. Since PokerStars took over they have improved an already excellent system with many new features. Search is now better, shortcuts from your keyboard in place, you can save your favorite tournaments and there are dedicated beginners tables.

Service was an issue previously, though with PokerStars as the new owners you will now recive the best as service, security and payments in the business. You can even transfer your balance between the two sites to get the best of both worlds!

You can access Full Tilt through your Android smartphone or iPhone, however their app is only for Rush Poker at the moment.

Full Tilt Poker – Summary and Planet Mark’s Overall Verdict

Full Tilt are getting better and better since PokerStars took over. They had a strong starting point and the new innovations + far better service have made a big difference. I'm recommending them for all non-US SNG Planet readers. The ownership change has been a massive positive for this site, and should settle any doubts about the safety of deposits new players have.

You can get a 100% matched bonus up to $600. I’ll see you at the tables!! Click this link to check out Full Tilt Poker for yourself!
