Texas Holdem Blinds Schedule
A mandatory bet from all players that is paid before any cards are dealt or viewed. Most common in stud games, though sometimes required in addition to blinds for community card games such as Texas Hold em. More Info: Do we have any additional information regarding a specific tournament. Return to Poker Schedule. The weekly poker schedule is listed below. Click on the details link for further information on each tournament: Monday 7:30pm: €80 No Limit Texas Hold’em Deepstack tournament (1 optional re-entry). The standard starting stack would be 100 to 200 times the big blind of the first blind level. Example: If you start with blinds 25/50, you could use a starting stack of 5,000 or 10,000. The starting stack affects both how deep stacked the players are and the length of the tournament. Regarding the ending time, see above.

Explanation of Button Ante System
For all Fitzwilliam tournaments we will be operating a ‘Button Ante’ system, whereby the player on the button pays a single ante, rather than every player posting a small ante (the Small Blind and Big Blind still post their blinds as normal). We are introducing this system as a means to increase the number of hands dealt per level. Collecting antes from every single player can be a slow and laborious process for the dealer, often having to remind players to post; having to make change for some players; spending time working out who the culprit is if one gets missed. By having a single player taking care of the antes (with the aid of having the button in-front of them to help remind them it is their turn), we can reduce the time taken between hands as well as reduce the stress for players and dealers having to deal with multiple antes every hand.
Further advantages are that it reduces the need for as many small denomination chips to be on the table, which will make chip stacks easier to count; stops small chip ‘hoarding’; ensures the Cost Per Round Percentage remains stagnant throughout the tournament (rather than having the large fluctuations that a traditional ante structure can bring, such a 100 chip ante at 500/1000 becoming a 200 chip ante at 600/1200). The only real issue with this system is for the situation when the Small Blind is eliminated from the tournament resulting in a ‘dead button’ on the next hand. We have decided that the simplest and fairest way to deal with this is to have no Button Ante posted in this occurrence.
Size of Button Ante
When 7-9 handed, the button ante is equal to the size of the Big Blind.
When 3-6 handed, the button ante is equal to the size of the Small Blind.
Exceptions
There is no Button Ante when play reaches heads up, just the Small Blind and Big Blind are posted. Button antes will begin on level 6 (300/600) in all tournaments consistently.
Note: Registration for all tournaments in the Club takes place 30 minutes before the tournament start time. You can also now register online up to 60 minutes before a tournament start time, to guarantee a seat.

Bonus Chips for Daily Tournaments
Bonus chips are available for all tournaments, excepting the Saturday €25 tournament and satellites, as per the schedule below. From Wednesday October 18th, Early bird chips will no longer be issued from the cash desk. Where applicable, players will qualify for early bird chips (for joining the tournament within the first level, as per schedule below) by seating within the first level of the tournament. Your table dealer will issue these chips.
Fitzwilliam House Rules – TDA 2017 and amendments
The Fitzwilliam has adopted the amendments of the TDA 2017 ruleset (http://bit.ly/2yf1uPf), with the following exceptions, where a pre-existing house rule will take precedence:
R4. Phones and other electronic devices may be used at the tables only when their use does not disrupt the flow of the game.
R5. English is the only acceptable language at the tables while there are live hands with action pending.
R11. Final tables are exclusively nine-handed.
R18B. There is no inalienable right for a caller to see a hand unless collusion is suspected. To abuse this privilege will be considered a serious etiquette violation.
R22. The reading of a tabled hand and the right to dispute any pot award ends when the final card of the subsequent hand is dealt. Disputed funds will be ring fenced until a floor decision is rendered and will not be considered in play.
R30. In cash games, a player’s hand is ruled dead when absent from the table and action is pending. Tournament games follow the TDA standard (dead as the final card is dealt).
R68. Exposed cards will incur an immediate in-hand penalty of passive action only, and additional penalty may be applied after the hand at the floor’s discretion.
Whilst not respecting the betting line or forward motion, any attempt to pump-fake into a pot is strictly prohibited and a decision will be rendered at the absolute discretion of the floor (1st offence) or the player will be compelled to commit their action to the pot (2nd offence).
